Elevate for Parents February 20-21 - while students are away for Elevate weekend, special opportunity to be encouraged and strengthened as a parent. Two sessions on Saturday night and session during Bible Fellowship Sunday morning. Free dinner and childcare on Saturday night.
Here are a few FAQ's to help you better understand our vision for our Elevate for Parents Feb 20-21...
If I show up for this, does it mean I'm a terrible parent?
Actually, the best way to parent effectively and biblically is to stay teachable and to grow yourself. We believe our Elevate for Parents will help you accomplish that, so you can be the parent God called you to be.
When can I attend?
Conference times will be Saturday February 20 from 5 to 8pm (two sessions with FREE meal between) and Sunday morning February 21 at 11am. All sessions will take place in the Family Center.
Does it cost anything to attend?
NO - our Elevate for Parents is completely free for all parents including dinner and childcare Saturday night.
What issues will be discussed during the conference?
Our speaker, Toby Freyou, will be presenting a unique family/parenting approach called "Liquid Parenting" - through this model Toby will deal with such subjects as communication, sex and dating and growing your child spiritually to name a few. Saturday night's topics will deal more specifically with issues related to parenting teenagers while Sunday mornings sessions will deal with "big picture" parenting principles. Parents are invited to attend any sessions they would like.
How do I register?
Registration is EASY - simply RSVP to the student ministry office by Sunday February 14. When you RSVP you can let us know if you'll be eating with us on Saturday night and if you'll need childcare for Saturday night.
What if I want to bring a guest - is that okay?
Absolutely - guests are always welcome and we believe the topics we'll discuss will be relevant for any parent, no matter where they are spiritually. Guest can register through the same RSVP mentioned above.
Is it okay to contact the student ministry and ask them questions about Elevate for Parents?
